Tomfest ’09

Tomfest is a (mostly) heavy (mostly Christian) music festival in Camas, WA—their ’09 lineup included bands like As I Lay Dying, Haste the Day, Sleeping Giant, Ivoryline, etc. Tomfest features an eclectic mix of preachers, hardcore bands, non profits scattering the merch tent, and thousands of kids running from stage to stage listening to mostly hardcore music, but a smattering of acoustic, alternative & worship bands. It’s always cool to see kids with tattoos and bibles in hand. My friend Jimmy Spencer had a couple of speaking slots and really brought it when had the chance in a very hostile environment between two of the biggest bands.
